Our mission
The aim is to promote confidence and a positive self-image among young women from an early age, empowering girls to feel good about themselves, express who they are, and take on active social roles within their school communities. By providing brand-new dresses to girls who might not otherwise be able to afford one for a school dance or special occasion, we help create moments that build confidence, while connecting girls with inspiring speakers and mentors who encourage them to set goals, overcome obstacles, and believe in their potential.
Our beliefs
All girls should feel good about themselves
The Believe in Yourself Project believes that every girl is beautiful and deserves to feel confident and good about herself. Financial circumstances or insecurities should never stand in the way of that confidence. By providing brand-new designer dresses to girls who might not otherwise be able to afford one, and promoting confidence and a positive self-image, we hope to empower girls from an early age and help them feel proud of who they are.
We also believe that confidence extends beyond how a girl feels about herself today — it's about believing in what she can accomplish tomorrow. Through speakers and mentors who reflect the goals, interests, and careers girls aspire to pursue, we give them the opportunity to meet people they can look up to, learn from their experiences, and see what may be possible for their own futures. Our goal is to inspire girls to set goals, overcome obstacles, and believe that they can achieve them.
