What we do
We visit community centers, after-school programs, and low-income housing centers to provide brand-new designer dresses to girls who might not otherwise be able to afford one for an upcoming school dance or special occasion. Along with the dresses, we bring inspiring speakers and mentors whose experiences, goals, and careers can help girls see what is possible for their own futures, while encouraging them to build confidence, set goals, overcome obstacles, and believe in themselves.
We visit community centers, after-school programs, and low-income housing sites where girls need us most.
Every girl picks a brand-new, unworn designer dress for an upcoming dance or special occasion — free of charge.
Speakers and mentors join us to talk openly about confidence, self-worth, setting goals, overcoming obstacles, and believing in what’s possible — lessons that last long after the dance.
Working together
We are grateful that you have taken the time to visit our website. Whether you are here to make a donation, to get more information, or to get involved as a mentor, we are truly thankful. It takes a village, and we are trying hard to do our part to make an impact among young women.
Where it started
Believe in Yourself began with racks of brand-new designer sample dresses — and a founder who saw how much a dress could change the way a girl saw herself, and decided no one should miss a night that matters.
